Good resources are important. Sharing them benefits others. The one below that I'm sharing has been of great value to my practice.
Walnut Acres provides excellent care at a gracious, beautifully furnished and well-maintained board-and-care residential home in Woodland Hills. They also provide an outstanding companion care service at the client’s home.
Several of my clients, coming from various prior living situations, have lived at Walnut Acres and experienced significant enhancement in the quality of their life.
Qualities I have observed at the residential care home and the home care service:
1) Caregiver commitment to acceptance of and unconditional love for all clients, no matter how difficult.
2) Customized services with attention to unique needs, tastes, likes and dislikes of client.
3) Special activities designed for client enjoyment, including outings and home concerts and programs at the board & care home.
4) Excellent oversight by owner-manager with frequent reviews, care plan updates and visits to clients who are living at home.
